ROOF STRAPS If you do not have a flat fascia board which is straight up and down, (including crown molding, slanted, soft or no fascia board) then we need to use other hanging methods. Roof Straps are the most common. These straps are installed over the existing shingles. With new, three tab shingles, these straps can be installed under the shingle for an extra charge. This is not the normal way and must be inquired about from the customer. A-1 will not make this call and is not responsible if a shingle tears as a result (tearing while installing or at a later date). Straps can not go under archetectual shingles, other shingles or metal roof, unless roof is installed after the gutters.
WEDGE Wedges can be used instead of roof straps on flat fascia boards that are at an angle from the ground. These wedges come in regular and extra slant. Wedges are made of aluminum and come in white. (colors are painted to match gutter)
MOLE HANGER Moles can be used to hide a portion of the roof strap. This hanger will slide under the shingles and the roof strap will be hooked to the mole instead of going on the shingles. There will be a screw that will go through the shingles to hold the mole.
DRAIN CAP Used to convert a round drain pipe to fit the down spout. Drain Caps are helpful for keeping debris from entering the drain around the down spout. Caps are for black corrugated or white drain pipe. Caps can adapt our 2x3 or 3x4 down spouts to 3" or 4" pipe. Reducing bushings can be used for 6" pipe.
DIVERTER ELBOW Our diverter elbows have a lever to direct water from one side to the other. These are great for use with rain barrels or water cisterns. Water direction can be changed at will by a flip of the leaver.
RAIN BARREL Rain barrels come in handy to capture the rain water so you can water your plants or to use the water for may other reasons. Especially when you pay rates to use city water. Barrels come in many types. They have an overflow hose at the top and a watering hose at the bottom with a on/off switch.
RAIN CHAINS A rain chain is a decorative way to drain the gutters without a down spout. The rain chain simply hangs from the gutter. The water will run down the chain to the ground. The sound is soothing like a water fall and will make a great addition to your garden or patio area. The rain chains come in many shapes and styles. Copper is the most popular of these chains.
